 | The Thieves' Guild started with a simple idea: All people don't like to be do-gooders. While most players in PSO play as upstanding citizens, this can be very, very, boring. I put the idea onto a forum at the great site PSO world, where I got some very interesting responses. Many players were against the idea of a guild devoted to theft in PSO, but tried to convey it with childish insults and name-calling. The more open-minded players, however, were intrigued by the idea, and I received emails from several people who wanted to join such a guild. At this time I had not decided to establish the guild yet, but enough players responded that I couldn't resist. Not long after the guild became official, a rival guild was established, which promised to "hunt" thieves, steal from them, and return stolen items to their owners. This idea of stealing to combat stealing was similarly ridiculed by it's fair share of players, but that guild was disbanded, and The Thieves' Guild (creative name, isn't it?) remained. I finally found the time to create a website for the guild, and this is the result. Enjoy! Recently, a sad chapter has been added to the history of the Thieves' Guild. Another guild, named Team Katana, which not only opposes all of our principles, but stole our ideas, has emerged. They are vigilantes, claiming that they can hunt down and kill thieves. This alone would be enough to make them our enemies, but this is only a small part of the problem. They promote justice at the expense of fun , which is also against our principles (it's just a game, after all) , and made a logo which is very similar to ours (theirs is "TK", ours is "TG"). They also stole our idea for the item hunt contest, which is one of the founding aspects of our guild, and named it a "scavenger hunt".
